1. Legal Status of Authorized User Tradelines
Adding an authorized user (AU) to a credit card account is a practice expressly permitted under federal law. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), 15 U.S.C. § 1691 et seq., and Regulation B, 12 C.F.R. § 1002.6(b)(6), require credit scoring models to consider authorized user accounts when evaluating a consumer's credit. There is no federal statute or regulation from Congress, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), or the Federal Reserve that prohibits paid authorized user arrangements.
2. Not a Credit Repair Organization
Tradeline Exchange is not a credit repair organization as defined by the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), 15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq. We do not:
- Dispute items on your credit report
- Negotiate with creditors or collection agencies
- Promise to remove accurate negative information from your credit file
- Provide advice you could obtain from a non-profit credit counselor at no cost
We provide one service: adding qualified consumers as authorized users to credit card accounts owned and operated by Legal X Global LLC.
3. Direct Ownership Model
Unlike traditional tradeline brokerages that rely on third-party cardholders, every credit card listed on the Tradeline Exchange is owned and operated directly by Legal X Global LLC. This structure delivers:
- Full account control — no risk of a primary cardholder cancelling, defaulting, or removing AUs unexpectedly
- Verified payment history — every account is maintained in good standing with on-time payments
- Predictable reporting cycles — we know exactly when each issuing bank reports to the credit bureaus
- No misrepresentation to issuing banks — AUs are added through each bank's standard process
4. Mortgage & Lending Disclosure
Authorized user tradelines are reported to the credit bureaus and may influence FICO and VantageScore models. Mortgage underwriters using Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, or VA guidelines may apply additional scrutiny to AU tradelines and, in some cases, exclude them from manual underwriting decisions. Customers should disclose authorized user status to their lender if asked. Misrepresenting AU tradelines on a loan application may constitute mortgage fraud under 18 U.S.C. § 1014.
5. Score Lift Guarantee
We guarantee a credit score lift from every authorized user tradeline purchased through Tradeline Exchange. If your score does not increase after the tradeline posts to your credit report within the issuing bank's reporting cycle, you are entitled to a full refund of the purchase price. 6. Anti-Fraud & AML Compliance
Legal X Global LLC complies with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. We verify customer identity before processing orders and reserve the right to refuse service, cancel transactions, and report suspicious activity to FinCEN or law enforcement. The Service may not be used to facilitate identity fraud, synthetic identity creation, or any other unlawful activity.
7. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
We do not act as a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. We do not furnish information directly to the credit bureaus; the issuing banks do that as part of their normal account reporting. If you find inaccurate information on your credit report, you should dispute it directly with the bureau and the furnisher under FCRA § 1681i.
8. State Law Compliance
The Service is offered to consumers in all 50 U.S. states. Where state law imposes additional requirements (e.g., the California Consumer Privacy Act, the New York Department of Financial Services regulations, or state-level credit services organization statutes), we comply with those requirements as applicable. Residents of states that prohibit the sale of authorized user positions should not use the Service.
